That said, many people ask me this question beleiving (presumably) that there isn't any difference. My guess is that there are similarities, but that in face Echo 1 does have more rigorous design standards. I feel this way because I've found the fit and finish of the Echo 1s that I've tested to be generally higher than the JG counterparts. Still this is just my opinion. Hope this helps! Konrad @ totpt

If thats the case, I'd probably go with the JG AK because of JG's good reputation. My unscientific opinion of Dboys is generally less favorable (although in total fairness this opinion isn't based on first hand experience, merely what I've heard about the dboys internals). The UMP style M89 was a nice gun while it worked, but after a long time in my storage locker it hasn't fired since. (I suspect that high humidity has caused a short somewhere). Still assuming that the M89's failure was my fault the UMP still holds less ammo (in the high caps) and it uses a lower cap. stick style battery. Therefore, as a first gun the AK will be able to deliver higher ammo capacity with increased battery longevity and of course a far greater array of accessories. Hopefully this will help! In short, you've got to figure out which two guns you like the most. Mechanically, the three you've mentioned are going to be quite similar and performance is going to be comparable. I'd sit down and rank them (i.e. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) most desirable and then just pick the top two. Again, take a look at my advice in the FAQ "Which gun should I get" section. Best of luck! Its been a little while since I've used these guns but when we skirmished we swapped the mags out all the time. It couldn't hurt to send a message to LongIslandAirsoft verifying this point thought. Better safe than sorry. Hope this helps! Konrad Pokerface124,

In the Echo 1 vs Classic Army G36C video, you stated that the Echo 1 was better. thats great. Since LongIsland airsoft does have extra magazines on their website, I was going to buy Classic army G36C magazines, but I was not sure if the CA magazines are compatible with the echo 1 magazines. So to the point, the question is... Do CA G36C magazines work with the Echo 1 G36C? let me know, thanks! hey AirsoftReports,

If you aren't comfortable with the G36c and you are comfortable with an M4 then the only question now is which variant and how much can you get for your G36c. If I was in your shoes I'd list your G36 asap and start pricing the M4. The gun performance will likely be nearly identical, but your performance should improve with the more compatible ergonomics. I hope this helps! Konrad Millcreek47,
